Big Sean - What a Year ft. Pharrell and Detail

Quite fitting, because Big Sean did have a hell of a 2015. Shortly after his break up with "Glee" star Naya Rivera, he dropped "IDFWU" his biggest hit to date, even though he claims the song was made before her, the timing was perfect. Sean had a monster album in "Dark Sky Paradise" with plenty of depth and also had another high profile relationship and break up with Pop Queen Ariana Grande. Sean blesses us with an end of the year track featuring Pharrell and Detail; great end for the Detroit and G.O.O.D. Music rapper.

Missy Elliott - WTF (Where They From)

The Queen is back! It's been 7 years since Missy released a solo single, the internet was in an uproar when she took over the Super Bowl halftime show by storm, as people had no idea who the hell she was. Finally she's back as Ms. Misdemeanor drops a Pharrell produced and assisted dance banger called "WTF (Where They From)". I felt instant nostalgia when I first listened to this as Missy picks up right where she left off. This is fireeee! Video is dope, has that signature Missy feel and look too.

Puff Daddy and The Family is back!! They debuted this track with Pharrell at the BET Awards last week during the Bad Boy reunion, which was amazing!!! This was the last track right after Diddy fell in the hole, lol!! Like the previous Pharrell song, I'm not in love with this, but again I'll listen to anything Pharrell drops, it's our duty as Virginians. I think I'll appreciate this one more if I heard it in the club though. What do you think?

Pharrell - Freedom

Debuted at Glastonbury last week live, Pharrell drops the studio version of his newest song "Freedom". A jazzy and gospel sounding track that's definitely not "Happy".  Not what I personally like hearing from Pharrell but I'll listen to anything that he drops. Any new material from him is always newsworthy. I'll give it a couple more plays.

Video: Gwen Stefani - Spark the Fire

You can't go wrong with Skateboard P and Gwen back together. They recapture that "Hollaback Girl" magic with another banger called "Spark the Fire". The track is just simply fun, Gwen has that Migos flow throughout the verses and the chanting hooks and chorus is infectious. The video is crazy, colorful and animated with a million emojis. Dope!

BIA - Chain Swang ft. Pharrell and Fam-Lay

We have the newest signee to Pharrell's i am OTHER label, female rapper BIA representing Boston. She enlists some VA help on her newest release "Chain Swang", a Pharrell produced track where we get to hear Skateboard P rap, which I prefer, and a verse from Fam-Lay, which is always good to hear the Nofolk native. Off of her #CHOLASEASON mixtape, hopefully we hear more good things from her in the future. I'm digging the Snapchat cover art too.
